Top TV Shows by Average Rating in Prime Time, Q3 2026.

Compelling stories compete for viewers’ attention.

In Q3 2026, MasterChef led the ranking of the most popular prime-time programmes with an average rating of 2.62, followed by Ukraine’s Got Talent at 2.55. Dizel Show ranked third at 2.27.

Meanwhile, series occupy seven of the top ten positions, including K.O.D., Love and Flame, Doctors, Water Police, and The Trace.

An interesting combination: entertainment shows take the leading spots, while series make up most of the list.

For advertisers, this provides a reason to examine programming context more closely.

A high rating indicates a programme’s audience size. On its own, however, it does not tell us whether that audience fits the brand or whether the placement will deliver business objectives.

Planning should therefore consider ratings alongside audience profiles, contact costs, inventory availability, and required frequency.

Another hypothesis worth testing: can regular advertising alongside series benefit a particular brand? These rankings cannot answer that question, but they help frame it.

My takeaway: channel selection should include an analysis of the content attracting the desired audience.

How much does programming context influence your choice of TV advertising placements?
