Skills Improved Most by AI Tools.

AI is increasingly viewed as an automation tool. But its main impact may lie not in doing the work for us, but in helping us work better.

Users report the greatest improvement in research skills — 42%. This is noticeably higher than efficiency at 31%. Creativity, problem-solving, and productivity each received 30%.

Interestingly, only 24% identified improvements in data analysis, 21% in communication, 20% in accuracy, and 17% in decision-making. Organization ranked lowest at 15%.

These figures clearly illustrate the boundary between technological capabilities and human responsibility. AI quickly finds information, suggests alternatives, and helps us overcome the fear of a blank page. However, it is far less effective at improving our ability to verify results, choose the right direction, and organize our own work.

The value of AI therefore depends on more than access to the tool. It depends on how well we formulate tasks, evaluate answers, and turn them into decisions.

Perhaps the next stage of development is not about adding new features, but about using the capabilities already available more consciously.
