Categories of Telegram channels read in Ukraine in 2025.

In 2025, content consumption on Telegram looks highly pragmatic. The absolute leader is news: 89% of users read news channels. This once again confirms the platform’s role as a source of fast information and an alternative to traditional media. Politics ranks second with 40%, which is hardly surprising given the high level of public engagement.

Education and self-development attract 29% of the audience, while technology, IT, and gadgets interest 22%. Almost at the same level are entertainment, humor, and memes (21%), which serve as an emotional “switch.” Cultural content — films and music — is followed by 18% of users.

Economy, business, and finance reach 16% of users — the same share as interest-based communities and opinion leaders’ blogs. Health and sports attract 12%, while marketing and media reach 10%. Volunteering and psychology close the list with 9% each.

For brands, this means one thing: Telegram is not about mass reach, but about precision, context, and trust.

Which Telegram categories do you read most often — and do you trust this channel more than traditional media?
